Hi, sounds similar to a problem I had with my Mariner 60Efi. Sounds like and injector problem to me. Motor = 60HP stroke EFI Merc. I had a 60horse Yamaha that would get gas in oil.
It ran great and never had any other problems. I found the bad coil after testing it. Then came to find out mercury had a recall on it. I told them how unhappy I was this engine and that no one could find the problem. Definitely sounds like a fuel DELIVERY problem.
